Magento expertise that connects the store to the operation
I improve Magento stores and the processes behind their orders. My experience covers retail and wholesale ecommerce, custom modules, Cloudways hosting and connections to stock, shipping and Sage 50.
A Magento issue can affect several teams before anybody identifies the cause. Stock may appear available but be difficult to allocate. An order may be paid yet wait for manual release. Staff may maintain separate records because they do not trust the information coming from the store.
I investigate the customer journey and the connected workflow. Understanding how people use the information makes it possible to define a useful change and check its effect across the operation.
Improve retail and wholesale buying
I review product discovery, account requirements, prices, delivery information, basket behaviour and payment. Mobile interactions and business-specific ordering patterns receive attention alongside the main desktop journey.
For wholesalers, the review can include case quantities, trade accounts, repeat ordering and the relationship between website stock and warehouse availability. The work can range from focused configuration or development to a broader improvement programme.
Build connections the team can rely on
Integration work begins with the data and process: where the authoritative information lives, what triggers a transfer and what happens when something fails. The team needs a workable exception process as well as a successful first transaction.
In my previous role, I led an OpenCart-to-Magento migration and developed modules and integrations connecting orders, stock, shipping, payments and Sage 50. The four-store operation recorded £10.9m in transaction value in the twelve months to 22 September 2026.
I also built Magento-integrated wholesale picking tools using case barcodes, product images and evidence for courier claims, alongside goods-intake and stocktaking applications.
I establish the version, modules, integrations, hosting and deployment process before changing code. On managed hosting such as Cloudways, permissions and available tools affect how the work is delivered.
Performance investigations can examine slow requests, database behaviour, caching, scheduled jobs and integration workload. Changes are tested against realistic customer and operational transactions, with a release plan and handover agreed.

Choose the right starting point
A clear Magento brief can be scoped directly. Where issues span the store and the business, the £1,500 Ecommerce & Operations Audit investigates the wider picture and produces actionable recommendations. Implementation is separately paid and can be delivered by me, your team or an agency.
Based in Bournemouth, I visit businesses across Dorset and through to Southampton, with remote work further afield. Free discovery normally lasts 30–45 minutes, preferably on site, to understand the problem and discuss useful directions.
Consultancy is £80 per hour, with fixed quotes available for defined projects. I can lead delivery or work alongside your existing Magento developer and operational team.
Magento questions
Can you work with Magento on Cloudways?
Yes. My experience includes migration and Magento development within its managed hosting environment. The work is planned around its access and facilities.
Can you help with warehouse processes?
Yes. I have built Magento-integrated picking, goods-intake and stocktaking tools, as well as shipping and accounting connections.
Do we need to replace the store?
We assess the requirement and current constraints first. Focused improvements may be the best route; a migration is considered where there is a sound business case.
More ways I can help
A closer look at related services and the experience behind them.
The £1,500 Ecommerce & Operations Audit connects your website, people, workflows and systems. I investigate where sales, time and money are being lost, then explain the changes that deserve your attention and how to move them forward.
When people copy orders, check payment screens and transfer stock information by hand, they become the connection between your systems. I understand the workflow and build the integration that removes that daily burden.
I follow orders through your business, spend time with the people doing the work and uncover why delays, errors and repeated administration occur. Then I help build a fulfilment process that supports growth.
