Helping good causes put technology to work.

Better technology can make a real difference beyond business. We want to use our experience and Nominet membership to help charities and organisations explore projects that benefit their communities.

We’re gathering ideas ahead of eligibility.

Nominet requires at least 12 months of membership before a member can apply. Our membership is new, so we are discussing future projects rather than submitting applications now.

Funding is provided by Nominet and is subject to its panel’s decision.

A future funding opportunity through Nominet

BCP Web is operated by Serallo Domains Ltd, a Nominet member. Eligible members can put forward projects through Nominet’s Members’ GiveHub, with a limit of up to £10,000 per financial year. This is the scheme’s annual member limit; an award depends on Nominet’s assessment.

We are gathering project ideas now. Our membership is new, so we cannot submit an application until we meet the 12-month membership requirement.

Who and what could qualify?

The public requirements are:

  • A UK-registered charity or organisation benefiting from the project.
  • A project aligned with Nominet’s aim of a more connected, inclusive and secure world, using technology to improve lives.
  • The organisation’s knowledge that a member is applying on its behalf.
  • An eligible member submitting through the Member Hub for panel review.

These are the published headline requirements. We will check the full Member Hub criteria, eligible costs and any conditions or connections before deciding whether to put a project forward. Discussing an idea does not confirm eligibility or funding.

Start with the people you want to help

Tell us about the problem your community faces and the change you would like to make. A useful starting point might be digital skills and confidence, access to devices, accessible services or safer use of the internet.

Nominet’s published examples include computing and online-safety education, technology that makes theatre more accessible, and one-to-one digital support. These illustrate the kinds of benefit to discuss; every proposal needs its own eligibility assessment.

Based in Bournemouth, we are particularly keen to hear from organisations in Dorset and the surrounding area. UK organisations elsewhere are welcome to contact us too.

What to send Tom

Email tom@serallo.co.uk with a short introduction. You do not need a polished proposal for the first conversation.

  • Your organisation’s name, website and UK registration details.
  • Who the project would help and what they struggle with today.
  • How technology could help, and what success would look like.
  • An outline budget, any existing funding and your preferred timescale.
  • Your contact details and any connection to Serallo or a proposed supplier.

Please send a summary rather than sensitive details about the people you support. No customer relationship or consultancy purchase is required. Sending an idea and having an initial conversation are free.

From an idea to a possible nomination

Tom will discuss the idea and identify what needs clarifying. Before any future nomination, we will confirm our membership eligibility, review the current full scheme rules and agree the proposal with the organisation.

We do not administer a grant fund. Nominet provides the funding and its GiveHub panel decides applications; neither the amount nor an award is guaranteed. Our membership does not mean Nominet endorses BCP Web’s consultancy services.

If you need funding sooner, contact Nominet about the scheme and possible routes through an already eligible member. Please do not rely on an award through us when planning urgent expenditure.

Tell Tom about the difference you want to make.

A short email is enough to get started. Tell us about your organisation, who you help and the project you have in mind.

No purchase required. Initial discussions are free. Eligibility and any funding award remain subject to Nominet’s rules and decision.
